A test fixture with manual operation has been designed for final testing and programming tasks. The purpose of the fixture is to contact RJ45, USB and Ethernet connectors, while also offering a simple method of integrating replaceable master chips.

With this in mind, a freely-configurable contact block has been designed, incorporating wear-resistant contact elements.

The configurations of the connectors vary greatly. Individual contact blocks fitted on an internal interface enable a test fixture to be adjusted quickly and simply to the particular requirements. Test piece tolerances can also be compensated for in the process. Long tool-life is ensured by controlling stability and tolerance.

Rapid chip replacement is a prequisite for checking several product variants using the same adaption. This means that the all-purpose fixture for functional testing can be configured to suit a wide range of customer requirements, quickly and easily.

Functioning:

The specimen will be applied and fixed on a manual or pneumatical moving slide
The specimen will be fine-adjusted and brought into position via the moving slide
The probing process is started by the end-position of the moving slide
Contacts will be removed automatically and the moving slide will be brought into starting-position
at the end of the test
This pneumatically driven fixture can also be used in-line

Technical Possibilities:

0.5 mm grid can be probed easily
Pad sizes of 0.3 mm can be probed
Spring-force of probing pins can be chosen between 0.8N - 4.5N
Changeable test-head
Probes are easily exchangeable
Probes reach a long lifespan
